Christmas task – telling a story in stills.

A date for your diary – December 27th.

“If I could tell the story in words I wouldn’t lugg a camera” – Lewis Hind.

With the task set to digitally record my day on December 27th and produce 10 images, it was interesting to consider what to focus my photographs upon. Points to think about:

– What is your narrative?

– How would you choose to depict an entire day?

– Would you choose the highlights?

– What needs to be left in and what should be excluded?

– What might be interesting to share?

My day consisted of very little, where family that had stayed for Christmas were returning home. With this, my house was left empty and myself alone – therefore I decided to focus my photographs on the ‘aftermath’ of Christmas. The remains and leftovers, the story that they tell.
